Thanksgiving Celebration
Thank you to everyone who donated food for our food box. It was completely full and then some! There will be some happy families with the food provided.
Grade 7 Social Studies
In 7A we continued investigating which Aboriginal groups we will use for our first inquiry. Students did a great job in finding details about the Confederation of Canada. They will now look at the economic and social structures of different Aboriginal groups and their decision making processes. We will then explore events that theses groups were involved in leading up to Confederation. In 7C we finished correcting our current events. This class will continue with the same process as the 7A group on Tuesday.Grade 8 Social Studies
We began looking at the Renaissance period. Students read about the Black Death (bubonic plague) and discussed how losing half the population would affect our worldview. We will continue with this on Tuesday.
Grade 8 Health
Students began the planning stage of their inquiry on Study Skills. The students are coming up with wonderful questions.
